This notice explains how information is handled when you use this website, submit the contact form, allow optional cookies, or load embedded media.
Who is responsible
This website is operated by Velton Gooden Jr. You can reach me at info@veltongoodenjr.com for privacy questions or requests.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I collect the details you submit: name, email address, request type, website or social link, and message. The form also sends basic submission context such as the page submitted from, campaign parameters in the link you used, and your browser user agent so I can understand and respond to the request.
Why I collect it
I use submitted information to read and respond to your message, assess fit for possible work or opportunities, keep reasonable business records, reduce spam, and understand which website pages are working. I do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party direct marketing.
Cookies and optional services
The site uses essential local storage to remember your cookie choice under vgj-cookie-consent-v1. Optional Google Analytics and YouTube embeds are blocked until you allow them. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set measurement cookies such as _ga; advertising personalization signals are disabled. If you reject or withdraw analytics consent, the site asks Google Analytics not to run and attempts to remove its first-party analytics cookies. You can update your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
Processors and third-party links
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms and delivered to Google Workspace email. Font and icon styles are requested from Google Fonts and cdnjs/Cloudflare with a no-referrer policy. Optional analytics and embedded media are provided by Google services. If you choose external links such as Google Calendar, LinkedIn, Instagram, or YouTube, those services handle your visit under their own notices.
Storage, retention, and transfers
Contact messages are kept in email for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction unless they become active project records, legal records, or accounting records that need to be kept longer. Service providers may process or store information outside Jamaica, including in the United States or other locations where those providers operate.
Your rights
Subject to applicable legal limits, you can ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, withdrawal of consent, or objection to certain processing by emailing info@veltongoodenjr.com. I may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Security and children
I use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect submitted information, but no website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. This site is not directed to children and the contact form is intended for business, media, partnership, and professional inquiries.
